Sonia Delaquito
Sonia possesses more than 15 years of experience in Higher Education, specifically working with at-risk and developmental populations. She obtained her undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at Lock Haven University and completed her Masters Degree in Post-Secondary and Higher Education Counseling at West Chester University.
Experiences spanning from for-profit universities, to career training schools to community colleges and currently a state-sponsored institution have solidified Sonia’s passion for assisting students to achieve academic success, regardless of the setting or student goals.
Mrs. Delaquito has instructed and created various student success courses, has been extensively involved in New Student Orientation and transition programming and has worked individually with students to address obstacles to their education, focusing on guidance with behavioral changes in the context of academia. Most recently, she has co-presented on K-12 Interventions that she has been facilitating in the greater Berks County area at the National Resource Center for The First-Year Experience and Students in Transition conferences with Dr. Ryan Hassler.
Sonia believes in the potential of each student and meets them “where they are at” crafting a plan with them to find a pathway to personal and academic success.
